About Lundin Links / Lower Largo

Population: 2,070

Lundin Links and Lower Largo were once very popular holiday resorts for visitors from the West Coast, now the golf courses and restaurants hold the main attractions for these villages. They are the picturesque gateway between Leven and East Neuk villages.

Lower Largo is particularly famous for being the home of Alexander Selkirk, whose adventures were the inspiration for Robinson Crusoe. Both villages still have many echoes of the time when he was a resident, especially in their architecture and a statue depicting the man himself.

Both villages have lovely sandy beaches in the sheltered area of Largo Bay.
