Arts, entertainment and culture
Fife is a vibrant place to be with a range of cultural activities, events and opportunities on offer to suit all ages, tastes and styles. So whether you live here, work here or are just visiting we are proud to shout about and share our many cultural attractions and opportunities.
Fife boasts a range of professional theatres, contemporary art and craft organisations and exhibitions, voluntary and community performing and visual arts groups and projects, creative schools based and youth work activities, major arts and literature events and more community based festivals, traditional highland games and gala days than you can shake a ‘lang spoon’ at.
Up and down the Kingdom a thriving and cutting edge music scene exists, one of Scotland’s biggest major cinemas is here and a host of community cinema groups and clubs bring film to the heart of some of our smaller more rural locations.
Our museums and libraries welcome thousands of visitors every year, from the tiniest babies to many of our oldest citizens. We have many well known historic buildings and sites and many more hidden historic ‘gems’, from caves to stained glass windows, pubic art trails and gardens. Our art galleries feature exhibitions of some of Scotland’s leading historic and contemporary artists.
Combined with our world class food, restaurants and markets, our diverse and beautiful environments, our sporting life and much, much more, there’s certainly much to be proud of in Fife.
