Ferrytoll Park & Ride

Kincardine Park & Ride

Bus Stations

Fife Council manages the operation and maintenance of all Bus Stations in Fife with the exception of St Andrews, which is operated by Stagecoach in Fife. Click on the Facilities section of this page to find information on individual bus stations.

 

Bus Timetables

Stagecoach in Fife is the main bus operator in Fife whose routes serve most towns and villages as well as the express network to Glasgow, Edinburgh and Dundee. Visit their website : Stagecoach in Fife or call 01383 642 394 for general information.

  • Additionally, you can find out about the One-Ticket scheme - covering East Central Scotland - which allows travel with various bus companies and on some trains. Phone 0845 055 1770 or visit the One-Ticket website for more information.
  • Dayriders - allowing unlimited travel all day on Stagecoach services. Available for specific towns, the whole of Fife or the 'Super Area' (stretching from Montrose, Dundee, Pitlochry, Perth through Fife to Stirling, Glasgow and Edinburgh). There is also a Group version of this ticket available allowing 1 adult/3 children, 2 adults/2 children or 3 adults to travel together.
  • Megariders - allowing unlimited travel for 1, 4, 13 weeks or 1 year on Stagecoach services. Available for specific towns, the whole of Fife or the 'Super Area' (stretching from Montrose, Dundee, Pitlochry, Perth through Fife to Stirling, Glasgow and Edinburgh). Versions also available for services to Edinburgh, Service 19 and Service 99.
  • Multirides - allowing unlimited travel for 7 or 28 days or 1 year on Stagecoach services. This is a zonal ticket and prices vary depending on the number of zones you choose to travel through within Fife. Zones extend beyond Fife to Pitlochry, Perth, Glasgow and Edinburgh.
  • Uniriders - allowing unlimited travel for 4 or 12 weeks on Stagecoach services for university or college students. Two versions are available - one covering Fife and the other covering Fife plus Dundee.
  • Edinburgh Day Returns - special day return fares are available from some towns in Fife for journeys on Stagecoach services to Edinburgh.
  • 10 Journey Ticket - available for each Moffat & Williamson service allowing 10 single journeys for the price of 8.
  • Super Singles and Apex Fares - discounts on normal Scottish Citylink/Park's of Hamilton fares if booked in advance.
  • Season Tickets - 10-Journey, 4 & 12 weekly and Annual tickets available on all Scottish Citylink/Park's of Hamilton services.
  • FirstDay, FirstWeek, First4Week, FirstYear - day, weekly, monthly and annual tickets available for unlimited travel on First services. Based on zones covering Central and South-east Scotland. Student versions also available.
  • You can buy a through ticket on all trains which allows you to travel on the local bus services at your destination station. Ask for a PlusBus ticket. PlusBus tickets are valid at 3 Fife stations : Dunfermline Town, Kirkcaldy and Cowdenbeath. Visit the PlusBus website for full details. 
  • There is also a special through ticket available for Leuchars Station allowing onward bus travel to/from St Andrews. When you buy your train ticket, just ask for a ticket to/from St Andrews. Wheelchair Accessible Buses

Some passengers may find difficulty using traditional 'high step entrance' buses but many routes in Fife now use wheelchair accessible buses. Bikes on Buses

There are currently no bus services operating in Fife that have provision for carrying bikes although on longer distance services such as Citylink, bikes will be carried free of charge in the luggage compartment provided they are in an approved carrying box or bag (subject of course to sufficient space being available).
