Youth Work in Fife takes place in a broad range of community settings and works with a diverse group of young people. Primarily aimed at young people aged 13 - 18 years, youth work can happen in a local community centre, church hall, commercial venue or on the streets.
Youth Work is more than the just the traditional youth club, we now work with young people during the day in structured learning programmes designed to improve their core skills. We offer young people opportunities to get involved in the decision making structures of the Council through local youth forums and the Scottish Youth Parliament and support young people to make informed choices in their life through a network of youth information points.
You will be expected to develop positive working relationships with young people and enable them to achieve their potential through learning and civic participation.
You must be prepared to undertake and complete core training as a requirement of the post within 1 year of appointment.
You will be supported in this role through regular training and briefing opportunities and through working as part of a local area based youth work team.

We currently have 10 local authority homes in Fife, which are continuously staffed and provide meals, activities and help with personal care and daily living.
You will provide a transport service for older people including responsibility for routine vehicle maintenance, operation of loading equipment and the health and safety of passengers.
You will undertake some care tasks, understand the needs of older people and have a flexible, caring and imaginative approach to working with this client group.
Extensive driving experience and a clean D1 driving licence are required.
