Youth leadership training

Fife Council, Community Services is committed to improving the skills and knowledge of coaches and volunteers of all levels of ability who work with young sportsmen and women across Fife.  Sports Leaders UK courses namely the Level One (14+ years) and Community (16+ years including adults) Sport Leadership and the Dance (14+ years) Leadership courses are available throughout Fife.

The Sports Leadership courses are aimed at people who might be already helping out in a sports or youth club, or someone who wants to become a coach or leader.  Not everyone is a born leader and the course will certainly equip those who aspire to being one with the skills and knowledge that will provide that first step on the sports leadership ladder.

Sports Leadership courses are an exciting opportunity to learn the fundamental skills of sports leadership in a fun and practical way.  If you successfully complete the course you will have a nationally recognised qualification and be equipped with the skills to deliver safe, purposeful and enjoyable sport and physical activities.  The course is an ideal introduction into a sport, coaching and/or leisure career.

Costs

Each Sports Leader UK course lasts between 25 - 30 hours.

Sports Leadership training will be available throughout Fife at various times and dates.  Charges may vary.
