Last year's Beveridge Park Festival attracted a great crowd
The annual Beveridge Park Community Festival takes place this weekend in Kirkcaldy. The event runs from 12-4pm on Saturday 28 and Sunday 29 July in Beveridge Park.
The Make your move Kirkcaldy team will be at the Festival all weekend, so it’s a great opportunity to find out more about cycling and walking in the town, with lots of great activities to try as well.
Come along and find out everything you need to know to get on your bike this summer. You can pick up maps showing all the cycle routes in the local area, and find out about CycleStart rides – group rides at evenings and weekends which are aimed at new cyclists.
If you have a bike but haven’t used it for a while there will be a free Dr Bike service at the park to check your bike over and even make minor repairs on the spot.
If you’re feeling adventurous, have a go at the timber skills trail with Middleden Mountain Bike Club (both days), or try your hand at the exciting sport of Bike Polo (Saturday only, from 2pm).
If mountain biking or bike polo aren’t for you – you can make your own music by pedalling our bike powered record player.
And after all that cycling, take a break and watch the amazing bike stunt show from the 7 Stanes display team.
Talk to one of the team to find out about free cycle training for adults and pick up free maps and leaflets with local cycle and walking routes.
