Active Schools in Kirkcaldy is covered by four co-ordinators:

- St Andrews High School and St Maries RC primary school (Simon Warren)
Active Schools in Levenmouth is covered by three co-ordinators:

- Kirkland High School and associated primaries (Jennifer Mann)

Active Schools work with local partners to ensure the area is offered the best possible sporting and physical activity provision:

The main focus of the Active Schools team is to create good links between school and community clubs:
- Introductory Taster sessions in nursery, primary and secondary schools:
- Rugby (Kirkcaldy RFC and Glenrothes RFC)
- Football (East Fife Football Club)
- Golf (Leven Golfing Society and Dunnikier Golf Club)
- Bowling (Leven BC, Buckhaven BC, East Fife Indoor BC, Coaltown of Wemyss BC, Kennoway BC and Fair Isle BC.
- Gymnastics (Enigma GC)
- Martial Arts (Kuk Sool Won Kirkcaldy andDestination Judo)
- Boxing (Denbeath ABC)
- Volunteer recruitment and support to senior pupils, college students, school communities and parents:
- Fife School of Sports Education
- Sport Leaders UK (please hyperlink to www.sportsleaders.org)
- Adam Smith College (NC / HNC in Sports Coaching)
- Basic Sports Coaching Course in conjunction with Community Education (Templehall Centre)
- Extra curricular school programmes in variety of sporting and physical activity opportunities:
- Lunchtime clubs (running, table tennis, fitness, football, badminton, dance, baton twirling, walking, multi activity etc)
- After school clubs (dance, rugby, football, badminton, gymnastics, athletics, fitness, table tennis, netball, basketball, tennis, hockey etc)
